Is a Renewal of Vows ceremony a legal ceremony?
No, this ceremony is not a legally binding ceremony.
Approximately how long will a ceremony take?
This depends on how many readings etc you put into your ceremony. However, the usual time a ceremony goes for is about 30 minutes.
Can I include other people in my ceremony other than the celebrant?
Yes, of course. The majority of the ceremony is typically performed by the celebrant, but other people can be included by doing poetry readings, singing or playing a musical instrument. The ceremony can be tailored however you like.
Can we have a rehearsal, and is there an extra charge to have one?
You can have a rehearsal, it is a great way to feel more at ease with what is going to happen on the day. There is no extra charge for a rehearsal. It is a good idea to have one, but it is not compulsory.
Do we have to pay a deposit? If so when is it due?
Yes, I require a deposit. A non-refundable booking fee of half of my costs is due as soon as you decide to hire me. This is to hold your date, so no other ceremonies can be booked on that date. The balance of my fee is due two weeks before the service.
What happens to our deposit if our ceremony is cancelled?
The deposit is non-refundable. However,if you cancel your ceremony three weeks prior to the final payment, then the final payment does not have to be made . However, the deposit is non-refundable.
